Tony Khan addresses fans shortly after AEW Dynamite goes off air
AEW President Tony Khan has just sent out a quick message to the fans following the conclusion of Dynamite Thanksgiving Eve a few moments ago. He also addressed some ongoing events within the promotion.
Currently, the promotion is holding the Continental Classic and the International Women's Cup. The first sets of matches for each tournament took place tonight. The likes of Shelton Benjamin, Claudio Castagnoli, and Brody King earned three points each after their victories, putting them at the top of their respective leagues.
Jamie Hayter has now advanced further in the tournament, putting her one win away from becoming AEW's representative in the four-way match taking place at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. The other three competitors will come from ROH, CMLL, and Stardom.
On X/Twitter, Tony Khan thanked those who stayed tuned to tonight's episode. He expressed his excitement for the two ongoing tournaments, and he felt that they both started on the right note tonight.
"Thank you all who watched Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite everyone! I’m really excited for the AEW Continental Classic leading to #WorldsEnd on December 28, + International Women’s Cup leading to WrestleDynasty January 5! Both got off to a great start tonight! Happy Thanksgiving!" Tony Khan wrote.
Tonight was just the start, and the promotion may look to build on tonight's exciting events and put on some great shows to end the year.
