Tony Khan and AEW takes another loss to WWE

AEW President Tony Khan hasn't been doing well against the rival promotion, WWE, in many terms. One of the aspects that the Jacksonville-based promotion is losing is the viewership and ratings war. They have been falling short against NXT in the battle.

AEW lost to WWE for the third time in a row, as their head-to-head ratings saw NXT come out on top for the second time since October. They collided on the October 8 edition of Dynamite, where the show was called 'Title Tuesday' as it aired on Tuesday. The flagship show drew a shocking 329,000 total audience, while NXT garnered an average viewership of 874,000.

This week, WWE's developmental brand moved to Wednesday night due to the CW's Election Night coverage and a special edition featuring ECW legends aired. Meanwhile, Dynamite featured regular TV episodes with stars like Jon Moxley, Bobby Lashley, Hangman Page, and many others.

The head-to-head TV war was won by NXT, which garnered 619,000 viewers, while Dynamite drew 523,000 total audience. Not only did the WWE brand win in the viewership battle, but they also took a huge victory in terms of ratings.

While NXT scored 0.17 among 18 to 49 demographics, AEW Dynamite only attained 0.16 ratings. This number is also low from the previous week when it garnered a 628,000 total audience.

It will be interesting to see what steps Tony Khan takes to improve the numbers and win the battle, as it has been a long time since they emerged victorious.
