Tony Khan announces return of popular tag team for AEW Dynamite

AEW President Tony Khan announced a huge tag team match for the upcoming episode of Dynamite. The Patriarchy has been troubling Hook for months now. On Wednesday night, the latter will pair up with his mentor, Katsuyori Shibata.

The former FTW Champion teamed up with Samoa Joe and Shibata to feud against the Learning Tree earlier this year. The Samoan Submission Machine has been absent lately, and even Shibata hasn't been around much to help the young star. Meanwhile, Hook's father Taz was attacked by Christian Cage, and the former has been trying to avenge him.

Last week on AEW Dynamite, the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil attacked Christian Cage from the arena's balcony seats and even tried to throw him off, but the veteran somehow saved himself from falling. With Hook being outnumbered every week, he officially has an ally.

Tony Khan recently announced on Twitter that on the Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite, The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne and Christian Cage will take on Katsuyori Shitaba and Hook.

"TOMORROW 8pm ET/7pm CT on TBS, Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, Holiday Bash, Nick Wayne + Christian Cage vs HOOK + Katsuyori Shibata, The Patriarch & son team @Christian4Peeps + @TheNickWayne fight @730HOOK + his friend and mentor @K_Shibata2022! TOMORROW NIGHT, 8pm ET/7pm CT on TBS," he announced.

Bobby Lashley wants to include AEW's Hook in The Hurt Syndicate

The Hurt Syndicate has been one of the top factions in the promotion since their debut. MVP has been handing out business cards to many stars who could be interested in joining their stable.

While speaking on The Lame Guys Podcast, the All Mighty named Hook, Lio Rush, and Ricochet as some of the potential future Hurt Syndicate members. He then claimed that they have the potential to make new stars.

"Ultimately, we are a group that is good for the company. We have the ability to be able to build talent. If you go into a feud with us or you’re on the mic against MVP, you have Shelton, me, whoever else we bring on. You have a lot of obstacles," he said.

It will be interesting to see if the former FTW Champion is able to defeat his arch-nemesis on Dynamite.
