Tony Khan combats huge embarrassment ahead of AEW Dynamite

AEW President Tony Khan's efforts to increase the ratings and viewership of a show have seemingly not generated the desired results. The show that hasn't improved its numbers from last week was Collision.

The Saturday night show has been well-liked by fans. The show features quick-fire action with important stories continuing from the other shows. Despite being a crucial aspect of AEW programming, it has been drawing fewer ratings and viewership. The latest edition of Collision's audience has reportedly sunk more than before.

According to Wrestlenomics, the show garnered a total audience of 332,000 last week. This was lower than the previous week when it drew 349,000 viewers. While the audience numbers seemingly decreased, Collision managed to increase the rating from last week's 0.09 to 0.10 among the standard 18-49 demographics.

The show featured stars like Kris Statlander, who won a squash match but was later attacked by Mercedes Mone. House of Black picked up another trios victory, while Jack Perry defeated Action Andretti. Also, Roderick Strong got one step closer to advancing at Full Gear as he got a win over Beast Mortos.

The Outrunners picked up a victory over Top Flight and will be challenging Private Party for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Full Gear, along with two other teams. In the main event, the Death Riders defended the trio's title against Conglomeration in a fun match.

It will be interesting to see how Tony Khan tries to boost ratings and audience numbers next.
