Tony Khan comments on 28-year-old star’s recent return to AEW; says he is a "big attraction"

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan opened up on the recent return of one of AEW's biggest stars and said he was a huge attraction. Khan also commented on the star's match at Forbidden Door 2024. The 28-year-old star in question is Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

MJF made his blockbuster return to AEW at Double or Nothing pay-per-view after over five months of hiatus. He got some payback from Adam Cole by knocking him down and had a feud with Rush before defeating him on an episode of Dynamite.

The former AEW World Champion is slated for his first pay-per-view match post-return at Forbidden Door this Sunday. The Salt of The Earth is set to square off against the CMLL legend, Hechicero, at the PPV.

During the Forbidden Door 2024 media call, Tony Khan shed light on what MJF's return means to his promotion and his match at the cross-over pay-per-view:

"MJF's a big attraction for AEW, and it's great to have him competing at the event this weekend, It'll be big for the fans at UPS Arena to see MJF this Sunday," Khan said. "I think Hechicero will be a great opponent for him, and it should be a really fun match." [H/T WrestlingINC]
