Tony Khan comments on Becky Lynch's potential AEW move following WWE contract expiry

Becky Lynch's WWE contract recently expired. Amid this, Tony Khan has commented on whether she could potentially move to AEW.

Lynch has solidified herself as one of the greatest women's wrestlers of all time. She has delivered consistent performances in the ring and is great on the mic as well. After spending years with the Stamford-based promotion, Lynch opted not to renew her contract with the company recently and has taken time off. This fueled speculation that she could be headed to AEW soon.

During Forbidden Door's media call, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful asked Tony Khan if he's made an offer to Lynch since she's a free agent. The AEW boss stated that he didn't wish to discuss this on the media call but he noted that she's a great talent and he will be looking out in the free agent market.

Liv Morgan claims to have sent Becky Lynch into early retirement

Liv Morgan brutally attacked Rhea Ripley backstage on RAW thereby injuring her and forcing her to relinquish her title. However, it was The Man who won the relinquished title in a battle royal.

But this didn't stop Liv Morgan who was on her revenge tour to take the Women's World Championship. At King and Queen of the Ring 2024, Morgan defeated Lynch for the title thanks to interference from Dominik Mysterio. Lynch got her rematch on RAW the following week but was defeated again thanks to Dominik's interference. This was The Man's final match before her contract expired.

Recently on WWE RAW, Morgan cut a promo where she claimed that she was the reason Lynch went into early retirement.

“I took out Rhea Ripley for this championship. I put Becky Lynch into early retirement for this championship.”

It will be interesting to see if and when Lynch will make her return to WWE in the future.
