Tony Khan comments on potentially signing Ricochet to AEW after his WWE contract ends
AEW is rumored to be signing current WWE Superstar Ricochet in the near future. Amid the ongoing rumors and speculation, Tony Khan was recently asked about potentially offering a deal to the longtime wrestling star.
It was recently reported that the former Intercontinental Champion gave his notice to WWE, and sources expect him to end up with AEW. There was talk of Ricochet finishing up with WWE on Monday's RAW, but a report revealed some new details on potential major changes in the matter.
Speaking to TV Insider to promote tonight's Dynamite, Tony Khan was asked his thoughts on Ricochet as a talent. The AEW President was careful with his reply as The One And Only is still under contract to WWE.
"If it’s okay, I’d rather not get into wrestlers that still work for someone else," Tony Khan said.

Ricochet and Will Ospreay are very familiar with each other. The longtime friends have worked in the same ring numerous times over the years, teaming up and going against each other.
All Elite Wrestling's current International Champion recently began the social media chatter on Ricochet possibly going to AEW when he expressed interest in another match. Weeks later, Ospreay discussed Ricochet in a ComicBook.com interview and expressed disappointment over how he's used in WWE.
"I keep up with him all the time and sometimes I get a little bit sad about it. I hope he's not sad and I hope he's real happy. I keep up with him as much as I can, but I feel like people are forgetting who Ricochet was once upon a time. All of these high-flyers that you see, and myself included, we all took inspiration from Pac and Ricochet," Will Ospreay said.
The Aerial Assassin continued with major praise for the Highlight of the Night, comparing him to another wrestling legend. Ospreay also knocked Ricochet's WWE Speed booking.
