Tony Khan confirms injury to popular AEW star; says the doctors are evaluating the performer

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan has confirmed an injury to a popular AEW star. The injury occurred on the latest episode of Collision, which worried the fans and the referee. The star is none other than Skye Blue.

Blue was taking on former Women’s World Champion, Hikaru Shida, and the match started off quite well. The action then shifted outside the ring, and that was when the injury occurred.

Shida attempted a diving crossbody and jumped on Skye Blue. The latter landed hard on her ankle, and the referee had to call the match off and declare Hikaru Shida the winner.

Tony Khan has now taken to X/Twitter to confirm the news. He mentioned that Blue suffered an ankle injury and that the doctors were evaluating her.

“Thank you all watching Saturday Night #AEWCollision tonight, right now on @TNTdrama! Our previous match was stopped + @shidahikaru was declared the winner, due to an ankle injury to @Skyebyee. Skye Blue is being evaluated now by the Doctors; we're all wishing her the very best,” wrote Tony Khan.

Hikaru Shida looked disappointed that the match had to end as it did, and Skye Blue was seen wincing in pain.
