Tony Khan declares who will be the future of AEW; names three big stars

Tony Khan is apparently giving a lot of thought to the future of AEW as of late. He recently talked about some stars who could become the face of the company in the coming months.

The All Elite Wrestling President is seemingly very happy with how Julia Hart, Jamie Hayter and Willow Nightingale have been working in the company recently. Hart's return to action in particular has received positive reactions. According to Tony Khan, these three stars are long-term players of the company.

On The Five Star Podcast, Tony Khan said the following about All Elite Wrestling's women's division:

"Julia Hart and Jamie Hayter are developing a rivalry and we just saw Jamie Hayter have a great match with Willow [Nightingale on AEW Collision]. I think Willow Nightingale's a force in the company for years to come (...) I think all three of those women would be at the forefront of that conversation about faces of the company for the future and the present of AEW." (H/T: WrestlingInc.)

Konnan thinks Tony Khan cannot save AEW if he doesn't give up his power

All Elite Wrestling has been facing stiff competition from WWE as of late. The company has seemingly been struggling in some areas, including TV viewership and attendance figures. Konnan thinks Tony Khan holding too much power is the reason behind the promotion's current state.

On Keepin' it 100, the wrestling veteran shared his thoughts on the rumors of Shane McMahon potentially joining the company. Konnan said:

"Bro, this is like the Titanic; this is a ship that's going to hit an iceberg sooner or later, and there's nothing Shane [McMahon] can do to turn it around, especially if Tony doesn't want to relinquish power," he said. [1:41-1:55]
