Tony Khan eyes major WWE spot after WrestleMania in London witnesses drawbacks
Earlier today, Tony Khan seemingly hinted at wanting to bring his promotion to London again. This comes amid speculation about WrestleMania taking place in the city.
Previously, Triple H and Nick Khan met with London Mayor Sadiq Khan to discuss bringing the PLE to the city. However, nothing is set in stone at this point, as the company is still open to speaking with other city officials.
Recently, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE WrestleMania no longer holds priority over Wembley Stadium. This was due to other events possibly taking place in the arena. He mentioned how the NFL was interested in possibly bringing the Super Bowl there.
Earlier today, Tony Khan was seen meeting Sadiq Khan and presenting him with an AEW World Championship belt. The promotion has been holding its All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium for two years now, so this would not be their first time meeting.
Tony Khan previously announced that All in 2025 will not be held at Wembley Stadium but at Globe Life Field in Texas. There have been clues pointing to next year's edition of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London, but the venue for this has not been confirmed.
