Tony Khan finally announces 10-time WWE champion is All Elite

Tony Khan has signed numerous former WWE stars over the years. A few of them have also become immensely successful in All Elite Wrestling. Even their current World Champion is Jon Moxley. He is on his fourth reign, which he won by defeating Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream.

A few hours ago, Tony Khan announced that the former three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, three-time 24/7 Champion, three-time Tag Team Champion, and one-time United States Champion, Shelton Benjamin, had signed with All Elite Wrestling. The 49-year-old debuted in the company on the fifth-anniversary episode of Dynamite. In the latest episode of this show, he made his in-ring debut against Lio Rush and convincingly defeated him.

Khan's update on X (fka Twitter) read:

"What an amazing debut tonight on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite! Welcome to @TBSNetwork + @AEW, Shelton Benjamin! @Sheltyb803 is ALL ELITE!"

Shelton Benjamin and MVP are currently in a storyline with former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and his manager, Prince Nana. It was recently announced that Benjamin and Strickland will lock horns in the upcoming October 30 episode of Dynamite: Fright Night AEW Dynamite.

After Shelton Benjamin dominantly defeated Lio Rush in the latest episode of Dynamite, MVP delivered a promo. In it, he warned the former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland of the repercussions of not joining forces with him and Benjamin.

"Lio Rush, in his youthful exuberance, opened up his mouth, and Shelton closed it. Good try, Lio, good try. Swerve Strickland, I know you’re watching, and I want you to know that you need to reconsider your position because this is your future. And I believe that we need to finish the conversation that we started at WrestleDream. You and the standard of excellence, Shelton Benjamin!" said MVP. [H/T: allelitewrestling.com]
