Tony Khan forced to restart major AEW title match on Dynamite

AEW President Tony Khan restarted a huge match on Dynamite's 5th-anniversary show. The bout being discussed is between Will Ospreay and Ricochet.

The Aerial Assassin and Ricochet were scheduled to collide for the International Championship on the fifth-anniversary edition of the Dynamite. The latter won multiple matches and climbed the ranks to become the number-one contender for the title.

The duo has a brief history since their time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They wrestled each other in singles matches a handful of times, but one contest between them stood out and is talked about to this day. Will and Ricochet fought in 2016 in the NJPW Best of The Super Junior tournament and had many memorable sequences. After over eight years, they faced each other again on AEW Dynamite.

The match opened the show, and fans went into a frenzy watching their amazing action. Both stars countered almost every move their opponent had. After beating each other with every move in the arsenal, the exhausted duo fell onto each other, ending the contest in a double countout.

However, both the stars wanted to continue the contest, and the crowd insisted that they fight until a winner was determined. A few moments later, AEW President Tony Khan instructed them to continue the contest. While Will Ospreay and Ricochet restarted the match, Konosuke Takeshita attacked his teammate and ended the match with disqualification.

It will be interesting to see if Ricochet and Ospreay wrestle in a rematch as a clear winner wasn't determined.
