Tony Khan makes a blockbuster announcement just hours before 5th-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite
AEW has landed a new television rights deal with its network partner, Warner Bros. Discovery. This comes on the fifth anniversary of Wednesday Night Dynamite's premiere episode. Tony Khan has now revealed that there will be a massive overrun tonight.
All Elite Wrestling's new TV deal has a reported upward value of $150 million and will keep the company's flagship shows on TBS and TNT. Additionally, the promotion's content will begin streaming on MAX in January 2025.
Tonight's AEW Dynamite is an important episode. It's been five years to the day since the show's premiere on TNT, and Tony Khan is in a celebratory mood. Minutes ago, he announced on X that Dynamite would have its "biggest overrun ever," which could be up to half an hour.
"TONIGHT, to celebrate 5 years of Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, TBS has given us our biggest overrun ever for tonight's action, could be a half hour or more! TONIGHT, 8pm ET/7pm CT That's not the only announcement today. I can't wait to celebrate with all of you on TBS tonight!" Tony Khan wrote.
Tonight's Dynamite card is already stacked, but fans can be certain that the promotion will celebrate its new TV rights renewal. Dynamite will air at 8/7c on TBS in the US and on Triller TV internationally.
