Tony Khan makes a bold declaration after bringing his old look back

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently brought back his old look. He also made a bold declaration about All Elite Wrestling's immediate plans.

The third annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view emanated from UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, on Sunday, June 30, 2024. It was a successful event for AEW and NJPW, featuring numerous top names like Jon Moxley, Tetsuya Naito, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland.

Following the show, Tony Khan was seen donning a pair of glasses at the press conference. The eyewear was part of his signature look in 2021, and he brought it back again last month.

On X/Twitter, Khan shared a picture of himself from the Forbidden Door presser. He addressed bringing back his iconic glasses and seemingly claimed that AEW was now focused on scaling new heights of popularity.

"Brought back the glasses + we restored the feeling in 2024 @JJWilliamsWON #AEWDynamite," Khan wrote.

Vince Russo comments on why Tony Khan hasn't struck a TV deal with WBD yet

Earlier, it was reported that Warner Bros. Discovery had offered a deal to the Tony Khan-led company. However, the two parties have yet to reach an agreement.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, former WWE writer Vince Russo weighed in on the negotiations between AEW and WBD.

Russo claimed that Khan didn't care about the TV deal with WBD and was only interested in booking three shows a week and hanging out with his talents. He added that the All Elite Wrestling CEO was not a smart businessman like his father, Shahid Khan, who was concerned about the financial position of his company.

Russo also commented on what would happen if All Elite Wrestling failed to strike a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. He said Tony Khan might have to stream his weekly shows on YouTube if the contract with the media giant didn't materialize.
