Tony Khan makes major comment about Ricochet amid rumors of his blockbuster AEW signing
Tony Khan recently made a major comment about Ricochet. The AEW President also shared his admiration for the star's talent amid the rumors of a potential AEW signing after his recent WWE exit.
The former United States Champion's WWE contract expired earlier this month, and since then, there's been tons of chatter about his future. Many fans believe All Elite Wrestling would be the ideal landing spot for the talented 35-year-old star. Recent rumors, too, have suggested that Ricochet could become All Elite soon.
Amid this, Tony Khan recently spoke to Comicbook.com, where he gushed over the free agent's talents. Khan mentioned that he too was a fan of Ricochet and pointed out how he had wrestled several names currently on AEW's roster.
"I'm a huge fan of Ricochet. I think he's a great, great wrestler," Khan said. "He's been involved in matches against some of the top stars in AEW. He also has a great history in New Japan Pro Wrestling, as he's been a champion there and a top star. We have great collaboration there and I love the history of New Japan and I think he's a big part of it. During a great era when a lot of our top stars were wrestling there, he was a big part of it. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Ricochet and think he's one of the top athletes and one of the most exciting stars in all of wrestling." [H/T: Comicbook.com]
Tommy Dreamer is convinced that Ricochet will join AEW
On a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Tommy Dreamer addressed Ricochet's future. The ECW legend thinks the former IC Champion joining All Elite Wrestling was a given due to his contacts within the promotion.
"He'll [Ricochet] probably show up in AEW because of the connections he had, the matches he had, and then you also look at career-wise. Okay, for Ricochet [he might think], 'I've been mid to getting a push, but how much are they really doing with me with all this talent that I have?''' Tommy Dreamer said.
With Dynamite 250 just mere hours away, it remains to be seen if Ricochet shows up during the episode as it could generate a thunderous response from the crowd.
