Tony Khan makes major comments about Shane McMahon days ahead of AEW All In 2024
All Elite Wrestling is all set to host All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium later this month. Meanwhile, AEW President Tony Khan recently commented on his high-profile meeting with Shane McMahon. Khan and The Prodigal Son had a private meeting at Arlington Airport this past July. Later, a picture from their meeting went viral on social media.
During a recent interview with TV Insider, Tony opened up about his meeting with Shane McMahon. The AEW CEO lavished praise on The Prodigal Son, as he called the latter "an insightful, intelligent person!" However, the 41-year-old did not provide any specific details about his meeting with the former WWE Hardcore Champion.
"That was the first time I'd ever met Shane. We both were in Dallas and have mutual close friends. I really enjoyed talking to him. He [Shane McMahon] is quite an insightful, intelligent person. He seems like a nice guy and very smart. I enjoyed talking to him about wrestling. I'm not sure what could come of it, but he was a very down-to-earth and impressive nice guy," he said. Tony Khan teases some "historic announcements" days before AEW All In 2024
All In 2024 will take place at the Wembley Stadium on August 25, 2024. The match card for the marquee event is stacked, with several high-stakes matches already announced.
Meanwhile, during the same interview with TV Insider, Tony Khan promised some "historic announcements" in the upcoming days, claiming that the promotion was in the midst of the ''most important and exciting time'' in its history.
"It is a very exciting time in AEW for many reasons. We’re days away from All In on August 25. This is the most important and exciting time in AEW’s history. In addition to what is happening in the ring, there are so many exciting things happening behind the scenes at AEW right now. We’re on the verge of the most important announcements in the history of AEW. There are multiple aspects," Tony Khan said.
