Tony Khan makes a surprising claim about Adam Copeland's (fka Edge) AEW run amid his injury hiatus
The AEW President Tony Khan made some huge claims regarding the All Elite run of Adam Copeland (fka Edge) since his debut last year. Khan also reflected on Copeland's injury hiatus.
Adam Copeland (fka Edge) made his surprising debut in AEW at the WrestleDream 2023 Pay-Per-View. It was a shocking moment as the fans expected The Rated-R Superstar to be a WWE lifer after spending 25 years of his legendary career with the company.
The WWE Hall of Famer also won the TNT Championship earlier this year and had a terrific title reign as well. However, Copeland suffered an injury during his Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing PPV and is currently out of action.
Meanwhile, Tony Khan made a debatable claim regarding Adam Copeland's run in AEW. In an interview with Sportsgrid recently, Khan claimed that Copeland's All Elite run is the greatest of his entire career:
"[Copeland] was the TNT Champion, the face of our other network. He arguably has been on the greatest run of his entire legendary career, which is really saying something because he's had so many great matches, so many great runs. What he's been doing in AEW is some of the best stuff. I'm really proud of that. He was on this amazing run. Unfortunately, he got injured, and he had to vacate the TNT Title, but we've had so many great free agents come in just in the past year." [H/T: Sportsgrid]
