Tony Khan officially announces WWE Hall of Famer's blockbuster return after 157 days on AEW Dynamite
AEW President Tony Khan recently announced the return of a Hall of Famer for the upcoming edition of Dynamite. The star being discussed is Ricky Steamboat. He was one of the most technically sound stars back in the day.
The Hall of Famer has made multiple appearances in the Tony Khan-led promotion. He was occasionally featured in 2022. He also came back to AEW to serve as a timekeeper during Sting's final match at the 2024 Revolution Pay-Per-View.
Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson is set to face Jeff Jarrett on Wednesday. A few days ago, Double J motivated Bryan to go all-in against his All In opponent Swerve Strickland. The former announced he would retire if he didn't win the AEW World Championship at the event. Later backstage, The American Dragon confronted Jeff and challenged him to a match.
Tony Khan recently took to Twitter and announced that Ricky Steamboat will return to promotion as a special guest and will be ringside during the Bryan vs. Jeff bout.
"This Wednesday, 8/7, Winston-Salem, NC, Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite, TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT, @RealJeffJarrett vs. @bryandanielson. In the Final Countdown for his world title shot vs. @swerveconfident, Bryan Danielson fights vs. Jeff Jarrett, with special guest Ricky Steamboat at ringside!" he tweeted.
It will be interesting to see what the Hall of Famer has in store for the AEW fans.
