Tony Khan's apparent stubbornness irritates WWE veteran: "He's not going to listen" (Exclusive)

Tony Khan has been called out by WWE veteran Vince Russo about not taking advice from veterans. Khan is the head booker and CEO of AEW.

The All Elite honcho has reportedly surrounded himself with names like QT Marshall, Dean Malenko, Christopher Daniels, and more in the AEW creative team. However, he still has the final say in the creative decisions. Tony Khan's booking is often criticized by many on social media and WWE veteran Vince Russo has spoken on the issue.

In the latest edition of Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo podcast, Vince Russo claimed that Tony Khan will not listen to advice regarding his booking for All Elite Wrestling. The veteran remarked that due to his apparent stubbornness, Khan was losing some audience every week.

"Tony has not shown to us in five years that he's going to listen. He's not going to listen. He's not going to take advice. He's going to go out there and book this thing the way he wants. He has every right to do that. But don't wonder why, you know, you're losing audience more and more every week. You're not giving them what they want." [3:19 - 3:38]

AEW CEO Tony Khan is a huge fan of former WWE star

Tony Khan has signed a lot of major WWE stars to AEW in the past several years. The most recent signings were MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin (The Hurt Syndicate). The All Mighty recently revealed Khan's opinion about former United States Champion Shelton Benjamin.

In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Bobby Lashley revealed that Tony Khan is a huge fan of Shelton Benjamin and sees a star in him. Lashley further stated that The Hurt Syndicate believes in each other which keeps them on the right path.

"Tony [Khan] put Shelton in a couple matches right away, and both of those matches opened people’s eyes. Maybe someone didn’t see that in him before. Tony sees it, he sees how impressive Shelton is. And we all believe in each other. I believe in MVP, I believe in Shelton, and they believe in me."

Fans will have to wait and see if Tony Khan books Shelton Benjamin to win some gold in All Elite Wrestling soon.
