Tony Khan shares emotional message after AEW stars' first title win: "5 years in the making"
AEW stars Zay and Quen of Private Party won their first titles in AEW on Dynamite this week. Tony Khan congratulated them on the win following the show.
The new champ duo became All Elite in April 2019. The duo debuted at Fyter Fest, where they took on Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) and SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) in a triple threat tag team match.
On Fright Night Dynamite, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen took on The Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Championship with their tag team future on the line. Despite outside interference, Private Party managed to pick up the win and become the new champions. It was their first championship victory in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
After the Wednesday Night show ended, Tony Khan shared some emotional posts, congratulating the new champs on their big win.
Khan tweeted, "Congratulations to the new AEW World Tag Team Champions @ZayKassidy @Marq_Quen Private Party! What a classic AEW moment here at Fright Night #AEWDynamite tonight on TBS! Thank you all who watched Wednesday Night Dynamite on @TBSNetwork!"
He posted another tweet after a while, highlighting the win.
"Congratulations again and thank you to the new AEW World Tag Team Champions @ZayKassidy + @Marq_Quen Private Party! Tonight was over 5 years in the making! Tonight was an incredible night of @AEWonTV, and Private Party vs @youngbucks was a classic #AEWDynamite match once again!" Khan tweeted again.

The Young Bucks displayed good sportsmanship after the title loss by shaking Private Party's hands. They awarded them their title belts post-match. Despite the decent behavior, they couldn't handle the fact that they had lost.
In a backstage segment, the fans saw them throwing tantrums and fleeing the arena after their defeat. Christopher Daniels tried to stop them, but they insinuated that they were fed up with the chaos in the locker room due to the brewing war between Jon Moxley and Tony Khan. The Jackson brothers announced that they would work from home from now on.
