Tony Schiavone teases former AEW champion’s blockbuster return: “He’ll get into the ring very soon”
Tony Schiavone has teased the return of a former AEW champion and said that he will get back in the ring very soon. This will no doubt have the fans very excited.
The star in question is none other than Kenny Omega. He is one of the best-known wrestlers in AEW, but he has been away since late last year when he had surgery to treat diverticulitis. He made his brief return earlier this year but was attacked by The Elite.
He has since been away and has not appeared in any show. Now, Tony Schiavone has a very encouraging update regarding Omega. He was speaking on his What Happened When podcast when he said Omega could return very soon.
"Yeah, I've been checking in with Kenny periodically, and seeing how he's getting along. His spirits seem pretty high, and hopefully he'll get into the ring very soon," he said. [H/T Wrestling Inc]
Kenny Omega says he has unfinished business with the Young Bucks in AEW
The Young Bucks and the Elite were instrumental in putting Kenny Omega on the shelf, and the former AEW Champion sent out an ominous warning to them.
The Elite have been running the show for the best part of this year, and their power is unchecked at the moment. Kenny Omega, however, has sent them a message saying that he has unfinished business to take care of.
He was speaking on the NJPW YouTube channel when he said:
"We’ve got a lot of unfinished business. I’ve got unfinished business with the Bucks, I’ve got unfinished business with Jack Perry. I’ve got unfinished business with Okada, clearly."
With Tony Schiavone’s revelation about Omega’s imminent return, one should be hopeful that he will return soon. In that case, The Elite will have to be on their guard as they seem to have ticked off the wrong person.
