Top AEW star to debut and join CM Punk's new WWE faction? Exploring the hints

CM Punk made his extraordinary return to the WWE in November of last year. He was signed to AEW from 2021 to 2023, where he won the AEW World Championship twice.

Punk recently appeared in an interview, where he was asked if he was interested in reforming The Straight Edge Society. The Second City Saint stated that the idea of forming a group in 2024 intrigued him. He added that his new faction would include names who are not signed with WWE yet, along with the reigning NXT North American Champion Oba Femi. There is heavy speculation that the unsigned star CM Punk was referring to is none other than AEW's Ricky Starks.

"I don't want to beat a dead horse. I would have to be some sort of a variation of The Straight Edge Society. Maybe something a little bit similar. Maybe named differently. And everybody who would be a part of that is not necessary here as a hire, yet. But, I think the number one would, be I think Oba. He is number one." said Punk.

The Absolute is a former FTW Champion and a former AEW World Tag Team Champion. The star is rumored to leave the company when his current contract expires. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Starks and if Triple H decides to pair him with CM Punk, given he joins WWE.
