Top AEW star set for huge return after recovering from serious concussion - Reports
A top AEW star was recently sidelined due to a concussion. However, she is now reportedly set to return to the ring.
Thunder Rosa has been one of the top performers in AEW's women's division for quite a while. Immediately upon joining the promotion, she was catapulted into the main event scene and even won the AEW Women's World Championship.
Sadly, Thunder Rosa's run has been plagued by injuries. After being out of action for a year, she returned to the ring and was once again in the spotlight. However, she had to be sidelined again due to a severe concussion. Her last match was on the August 31 episode of Collision against Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, and Serena Deeb.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Thunder Rosa is cleared to return to the ring. She even threw out the first pitch in the San Diego Padres game this week.

AEW star Thunder Rosa opened up about her concussion
Concussion-related injuries are quite common in the world of professional wrestling and are taken more seriously now than in the past. Many former athletes have raised awareness about the dangers of getting concussed and why it is important to stop when suffering from a concussion.
During a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa urged her fellow wrestlers to stop wrestling when suffering from a concussion since the prolonged dangers are not worth it.
"If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don't get in there. It's not worth it. I can tell you... right now, I'm suffering a concussion. So I'm gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple weeks," she said.
