Top non-AEW star fires disrespectful shots at Tony Khan and House of Black member
A top star outside AEW fired shots at the company President, Tony Khan, and a House of Black member. The star is expected to wrestle the HOB member at a big upcoming event.
David Finlay has been signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling since 2015 and is the current IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. He is also a part of the Bullet Club War Dogs faction. Finlay recently put out an open challenge which was accepted by the HOB member in question, Brody King.
Brody called out David Finlay for a match at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025, in Tokyo Dome. Meanwhile, New Japan Pro-Wrestling's official X handle shared Finlay's reply to Brody King. David Finlay took a shot at Tony Khan by calling him a 'billionaire's son' while also taking a jab at Brody:
"A King doesn't wear another man's name on his chest, and he doesn't take orders from a billionaire's son. I'll see you at the Tokyo Dome."

Furthermore, Finlay's partner, Gedo also sent a message to Brody, stating it will be Brody King versus a Savage King at the Tokyo Dome.
Tony Khan announced the House of Black member's next major match
Brody King is also participating in the AEW Continental Classic 2024 tournament and is in the Gold League. After defeating Darby Allin in his first match, Brody was defeated by Claudio Castagnoli in his second match.
Nevertheless, Tony Khan recently took to X to announce the next match in the ongoing Continental Classic for Brody King. The House of Black member will be in action against Ricochet next week on Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
With Brody having one win and one loss in the Gold League, it remains to be seen if he manages to overcome Ricochet.
