Top star gives an update on AEW's "locker room" in the aftermath of Britt Baker and MJF's backstage fight

Britt Baker and MJF recently into a backstage confrontation. A top star has given an update on AEW's "locker room" in the aftermath of the fight.

Mariah May is one of the rising stars of AEW's women's division. In such a short time of joining the company, she has already accomplished a lot. She gained a lot of prominence for her in-ring skills. She also went on to win the Owen Hart Cup and will now challenge her former mentor for the AEW Women's Championship at AEW All In.

Due to her rising popularity, Mariah has been doing interviews. She recently had an interview with Daily Star where she was asked to comment on the uniqueness of AEW's locker room considering that she has wrestled in the USA and Japan. This question was asked in the aftermath of the recent backstage confrontation that took place between Britt Baker and MJF which resulted in the former getting suspended for two weeks. However, Mariah May managed to give a position on the locker room atmosphere:

"I loved them all. Stardom is my family, AEW is my family. In both of them, I’ve been a foreigner. I know we both speak English, but I’m technically a foreigner, and I feel like they’ve both looked after me so much. I don’t have family or friends and they’re so sweet. They’ve taken me in as their own. Japan is a real sisterhood, they’re a little bit younger so its kind of like school in a way. Whereas I feel AEW is a family, you have your mums and your dads, you’ve got people from so many walks of life and doing so many different things. It's huge, there’s so many different people there. You have brothers and sisters. A real family. It’s lovely there," May said. [H/T Fightful]

Sam Roberts commented on MJF and Britt Baker's backstage confrontation

The backstage confrontation between Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Britt Baker came as a bit of a shock as it was the first backstage incident since CM Punk left the company last year. Since the news about the fight broke out, several people commented on it.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts mentioned that such incidents are not good for the business and for AEW:

"It doesn't make me happy when I read stories like 'oh, you know two of the talent at AEW got into a backstage squabble and one of them got suspended' and it's like all that stuff is not good for business. It's not good for the business of AEW. It's not good for the business of professional wrestling." [46:00 - 46:18]
