Top star teases Ricky Starks' blockbuster return after shocking angle on AEW Dynamite
AEW star Ricky Starks has been absent from television since March 2024. However, his former stablemate Powerhouse Hobbs has teased reuniting with him and HOOK after the most recent episode of Dynamite.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, HOOK looked for the identity of the attacker who attacked his father, Taz, in the parking lot during the fifth anniversary special episode of the Wednesday Night Show. The Cold Hearted Handsome Devil appeared backstage and claimed that the attacker was in the ring. He rushed to the ring during The Patriarchy's segment and attacked Nick Wayne before confronting Christian Cage.
As HOOK was about to ambush him, Kip Sabian shocked fans as he delivered a low blow to the 25-year-old, and this allowed Christian to brutalize the youngster, seemingly confirming that he was the mastermind behind Taz's attack.
On X (Twitter), HOOK's former Team Taz stablemate Powerhouse Hobbs teased a potential reunion of the group by posting a GIF of himself, The Cold Hearted Handsome Devil, and Ricky Starks.
Notably, Powerhouse Hobbs, HOOK, Ricky Starks, and Brian Cage were part of Team Taz from 2020 to 2022.
Absent AEW star Ricky Starks recently provided an update on his future
Stroke Daddy seemed to have had a promising run ahead of him after he won the 2023 Men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The Absolute One was paired with Big Bill and managed to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Ever since losing the title earlier this year, Starks fell victim to underwhelming booking and has been off television since March 2024.
In a recent chat on Highspots Sign It Live virtual signing, Ricky Starks revealed that he's healthy to return to action but the decision was not in his hands.
"I wish I could give an answer [about my whereabouts]. I'm healthy. I'm ready to get back in the ring. I am in shape, obviously. I've always been in shape. Sometimes it just isn't up to me, I guess, as they say. I don't give a f**k, but yeah, I wish I had more of a definitive answer. But sometimes darkness is your only friend when you're definitely trying to find the light," he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
The 34-year-old has been rumored to join WWE after his potential departure from All Elite Wrestling. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Stroke Daddy.
