Two major title changes expected at AEW WrestleDream
AEW WrestleDream is set to take place in just over twenty-four hours. New information has just revealed several potential spoilers for the pay-per-view, including title changes and at least one major debut.
Tony Khan will present his second annual WrestleDream pay-per-view on Saturday at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. Khan announced the inaugural event in honor of Antonio Inoki last year, and the same will apply this year. The AEW founder declared the NJPW founder to be wrestling's greatest dreamer. WrestleDream I was held on October 1, 2023, exactly one year after the WWE Hall of Famer passed away at the age of seventy-nine.
Jon Moxley (-150 [2/3]) is the slight favorite to dethrone Bryan Danielson (+120 [6/5]) in the main event. Danielson is still rumored to retain the World Championship, but it's very interesting how the odds indicate a potential title change. There's also one option for if The American Dragon will retire, which is "Yes" (+700 [7/1]), but no other line was provided.
Christian Cage potentially cashing in his contract has just one option, "Yes" (+500 [5/1]), but it's not clear if he's planned for Moxley vs. Danielson. BetOnline also lists four options for the wrestler to appear first during WrestleDream. Bobby Lashley (-250 [2/5]) is the favorite for what would be his AEW debut, while MJF (+200 [2/1]), Adam Cole (+550 [11/2]), and Ricky Starks (+1800 [18/1]) are also listed.
International Champion Will Ospreay (-400 [1/4]) is the favorite to retain over Ricochet (+800 [8/1]) and Konosuke Takeshita (+200 [2/1]), while Mariah May (-5000 [1/50]) is favorited to retain the Women's World Championship over Willow Nightingale (+1200 [12/1]). Jack Perry (-2500 [1/25]) is the favorite to retain his TNT Championship against Katsuyori Shibata (+800 [8/1]).
Private Party (+700 [7/1]) likely will not capitalize on their first pay-per-view shot at the World Tag Team Championship as The Young Bucks (-2000 [1/20]) are favorited. Hologram (-1000 [1/10]) is favored to win the Two Out Of Three Falls match against The Beast Mortos (+550 [11/2]).
Ring of Honor will present two title matches at WrestleDream. Brian Cage (-220 [5/11]) is the favorite to dethrone current ROH World Television Champion Atlantis Jr. (+165 [33/20]) on the Zero Hour pre-show. ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe (-250 [2/5]) is the favorite to successfully defend against Chris Jericho (+170 [17/10]).
Jay White (-180 [5/9]) looks to defeat Adam Page (+140 [7/5]), while MxM Collection (+275 [11/4]) are expected to lose to the favorites, The Acclaimed (-450 [2/9]). Darby Allin (-1500 [1/15]) is the favorite to defeat Brody King (+600 [6/1]).
