Two popular AEW stars reunite at Dynamite: Grand Slam

Two highly popular stars of AEW's women's division reunited on Dynamite: Grand Slam. The talent in question are Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa.

The 2024 edition of Dynamite: Grand Slam featured several high-stakes matches, including an AEW Women's World Championship bout between the defending champion Mariah May and contender Yuka Sakazaki. The hard-hitting back-and-forth matchup concluded with the champ planting her challenger with a Storm Zero to retain her title.

May was seemingly not finished with Sakazaki after the bout, but her plans were foiled by Willow Nightingale, who rushed to the ring to make the save. As the two faced off, The Fighting Princess and the former AEW TBS Champion were distracted by Mina Shirakawa's entrance music.

May used the opportunity to lay out Nightingale with her title, much to the seeming confusion of Shirakawa, with whom the English star reunited on the ramp. The Women's World Champion was then chased away by Sakazaki, who also confronted Mina, May's Rose Gold tag partner from World Wonder Ring Stardom.

It remains to be seen whether Mariah May will finally have her championship celebration now that Mina Shirakawa has answered her call and returned to All Elite Wrestling.
