Unfortunate news on Swerve Strickland ahead of AEW Full Gear 2024

Swerve Strickland is set to compete at AEW Full Gear 2024. However, some unfortunate news has emerged days before this match.

Swerve has been feuding with The Hurt Syndicate ever since he turned down MVP's offer to join their group. Things went from bad to worse for the former AEW World Champion when Bobby Lashley debuted on the 30 October, episode of Dynamite and attacked Swerve.

Following this assault, a match was set up between both men for AEW Full Gear. However, Swerve made it clear last week on Dynamite that he didn't want to wait till the PPV and called out The All Mighty. However, this decision backfired on him as Shelton Benjamin jumped him from behind. Bobby Lashley then attacked Swerve and laid him out.

Following this assault, Swerve took to social media to share an X-ray of his shoulder with the caption:

"These Hurt Syndicate beatings take a toll."

MVP slammed Swerve Strickland for thinking he could fight The Hurt Syndicate all by himself

Ever since the feud between The Hurt Syndicate and Swerve began, the latter has been all by himself. He has burned a lot of bridges due to his past actions and no one has bothered to come out in support of him. While he was initially fighting two members, the addition of Lashley to the group has only made things worse for the former AEW World Champion.

During last week's episode of Rampage, MVP slammed Swerve for being arrogant enough to believe he could take on The Hurt Syndicate all by himself. He also said that the former AEW World Champion believes he is the most dangerous man in the company when Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are part of the same roster.

"Take Swerve Strickland for example. He's got so much to learn, but he won't listen. That is arrogance, and it's his arrogance that the people love about him. But, it's also his greatest weakness. Swerve Strickland thinks that one man can beat three. That's arrogance. Swerve Strickland calls himself the most dangerous man in AEW. With Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, that is arrogance. And arrogance, much like pride, goeth before the fall," MVP said.

It will be interesting to see if Swerve will recover in time for his match at AEW Full Gear.
