Unfortunate update on Bobby Lashley just days ahead of AEW Full Gear 2024

Bobby Lashley is set to make his AEW in-ring debut at Full Gear. However, an unfortunate update about his health has been confirmed.

Bobby Lashley was set to take the WWE by storm with his new pairing with Street Profits and B-Fab. Sadly, the Almighty suffered a freak injury during his live event match against Santos Escobar on May 5th in France. This injury kept the former WWE Champion out of action.

Lashley even got the surgery done and was back in the gym pretty quickly. However, his WWE run came to an end recently and he made his debut in AEW on the 30th October episode of Dynamite where he attacked Swerve Strickland. The Almighty is set to make his in-ring debut for the company at AEW Full Gear 2024.

The former WWE star is going pretty hard in the gym in preparation for his match against Swerve. MVP admitted that he trained with Lashley and got a few heavy sets in. A fan asked how much weight Lashley was pushing. The former United States Champion confirmed that The Almighty was able to do "5 sets of 10 reps with 315." He then admitted that his stablemate was lifting that much weight while still not being 100 percent:

"Dude was moving all that weight and telling me his triceps was still hurting. He's not 100% yet."

Bobby Lashley promised to hurt Swerve Strickland at AEW Full Gear

Bobby Lashley has not competed in a ring since his injury in May. However, the Almighty appears to be confident that he can get the better of Swerve Strickland during their match.

The Hurt Syndicate appeared for an interview with Renee Paquette this week on Dynamite. MVP took over the interview from Renee and allowed Lashley to speak about his upcoming match. The former WWE star then promised to hurt Swerve during their encounter at Full Gear:

"You see, Renee, Swerve is dangerous to everyone else, but I'm gonna make an example out of him. I will hurt Swerve," said the former WWE Champion.

It will be interesting to see if Bobby Lashley not being a 100 percent fit will hurt his chances at Full Gear.
