"Very green" - Former WWE manager unimpressed with Tony Khan's selling on AEW Dynamite (Exclusive)

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently shared his reaction to Tony Khan's segment from AEW Dynamite.

This past week on AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan officially reinstated Jack Perry to All Elite Wrestling. The Scapegoat would quickly turn on Tony Khan by punching him in the gut, which led to The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada coming out to the ring to seemingly stop Perry's attack. However, The Bucks would turn their attention to Khan and take him out with the TK Driver to end the show.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Dutch Mantell reviewed the Tony Khan angle and stated that the AEW President was very green in the ring.

"So, I'm watching! Granted, Tony Khan is very green at anything wrestling-oriented. But all he had to do was go back and watch the tape of Andy Kaufman in Memphis years ago. I was there that night in that arena when he laid there, and everybody, me included, said he was hurt. That's how you sell an attack by a wrestler. Tony eventually got up on his own and walked out. He came back today with a neck brace at the NFL Draft. He really got AEW's message out: 'Hey, there's a new wrestling group in town; you might wanna check it out!''' he said. [4:47-7:00]

How did Shahid Khan react to The Young Bucks' brutal attack on Tony Khan? The AEW CEO reveals

Tony Khan has been selling the kayfabe injury after getting ambushed by The Elite on Dynamite. He recently appeared at the NFL Draft in a neck brace, where he also gave an interview on the NFL Network.

Tony stated that his father, Shahid Khan, was very angry at The Young Bucks following the attack and revealed that the latter was a regular viewer of the All Elite Wrestling product.

“He was very angry at the people who assaulted me. My dad loves AEW, and he’s a big fan of what we do Wednesdays on TBS and Saturdays, just like tomorrow night in Jacksonville on TNT. He watches every show, and he never expected something like that; it’s never happened before,” said Tony Khan. [H/T: Wrestletalk]

Tony Khan seems to have become an on-screen act on All Elite Wrestling television. It will be interesting to see the fallout from last week's Dynamite this coming Wednesday.
