Veteran explains why Bobby Lashley will NOT find success in AEW after leaving WWE (Exclusive)
With Bobby Lashley rumored to be leaving WWE, speculation about a possible AEW entry has already been going on in the community. However, veteran Bill Apter believes this is not a good decision for the former champion.
Lashley is considered one of the most impressive names in the pro-wrestling business and with good reason. His strength and imposing build have allowed him to reach the highest rungs of the roster. However, according to veteran journalist Bill Apter, this strength makes him a bad fit for the AEW roster.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Apter explained that Bobby would barely have any proper opponents in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
"They're talking about Bobby Lashley possibly leaving WWE. We talked about this on Time Machine and said, 'Maybe he will go to AEW.' But you know what? Other than the build of Wardlow, who they are doing nothing with, he's gonna be working with lightweights. There is nobody there for him to... MJF would not be a good opponent for him. [Will] Ospreay wouldn't be a good opponent for him. Bryan Danielson wouldn't be a good opponent. They are all small guys!" the veteran said. [8:49 onwards]
For now, only time will tell whether Bobby will renew his contract with WWE or switch to AEW in the near future.
