Veteran explains why Taz's AEW segment drove him "crazy" (Exclusive)
A recent AEW segment involving the legendary Taz apparently infuriated a veteran. Taz's son HOOK, who is an active wrestler in the company, was also involved.
HOOK has been a major attraction on Tony Khan's roster since his debut. Initially booked as a nonchalant serious star, he raced up some serious wins in his run. While HOOK is often referred to as Taz's protégé, he is rarely acknowledged as Taz's son on screen.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter expressed frustration at the simple fact.
"You know what else drove me crazy? Last wek when they forced Taz to leave the broadcast spot, and then they were talking about Taz's protege Hook. Everybody knows it is his kid! Why don't they acknowledge it, acknowledge it on AEW TV. Unless Taz you know, doesn't want it personally, everybody knows." [6:20 onwards]

Dutch Mantell has also commented on Hook's AEW booking
While Hook has been booked relatively well so far, WWE veteran Dutch Mantell thinks he needs to be presented more dominantly.
In a previous episode of SmackTalk, the veteran explained:
"I wouldn't get off this path right now, I'd stay on this path another, say, couple of months. Then have somebody, one of those heels, start talking about him, and he can still win his match and that heel hits, 'Hey, why don't me and you go?' whatever and just throw something in special. Do something to him and beat the living crap out of him."

As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for HOOK in All Elite Wrestling.
