Vince McMahon could be secretly working with his son Shane McMahon to purchase AEW, believes WWE veteran (Exclusive)
A former WWE writer has pitched a wild theory about Vince and Shane McMahon potentially joining hands to acquire AEW. The person in question is Vince Russo, who believes the recent rumors of Shane O'Mac's potential All Elite Wrestling move could result in a shocking turn of events.
Over the last few weeks, there's been plenty of speculations about Shane McMahon joining hands with AEW. This began when Jim Ross stated in his podcast, Grilling JR, that he could see Shane in Tony Khan's promotion.
More recently, it was reported that Shane O'Mac met Mercedes Mone in New York and that the two even discussed All Elite Wrestling. Amid this, on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the former WWE manager tried making sense of the rumors.
Vince Russo speculated that there was an outside chance of Vince McMahon working secretly with Shane McMahon to take over AEW:
"It (purchasing AEW) could be under the guise of Shane, that's what I'm saying. Shane is as clean as whistle. Vince could be behind it without anybody knowing it, bro, said Vince Russo (25:08 - 25:20)

Francine on Shane McMahon potentially joining AEW
On a recent episode of her Eyes Up Here podcast, Francine spoke about how Shane headlining over to AEW could be a shocker as the McMahon name has been synonymous with WWE for decades. She added that if this materialized, it would be the biggest thing to happen in the wrestling business in years:
"This is mind-blowing because if that were to happen, this would be such a smack in the face to the McMahon family, I feel. Even though Vince has nothing to do with it anymore, you think of a McMahon and you think of WWE for life. You would never think of a McMahon crossing over and appearing on somebody else's TV. At least I wouldn't. I would never think that. Although, if it happened, I would pop like a little schoolgirl, not gonna lie. That would be the biggest thing to happen in years in my opinion."
It's safe to say the rumors will continue to float until Shane McMahon legitimately shows up in All Elite Wrestling or publicly quashes them.
