"Wake up call for AEW" - Jon Moxley threatens Bryan Danielson ahead of mega clash at WrestleDream
Jon Moxley delivered a threat to Bryan Danielson in an intense promo ahead of their blockbuster AEW World Championship match at WrestleDream 2024 on the latest episode of Dynamite. The program aired from the Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA.
The October 8, 2024, edition of Dynamite opened with an ominous backstage segment featuring Jon Moxley, who addressed his WrestleDream 2024 opponent and former Blackpool Combat Club ally, Bryan Danielson. The Purveyor of Violence emphasized that it was up to him to end The American Dragon's in-ring career, and issued a warning to the All Elite Wrestling locker room.
"Fact is, for the better part of two years, Bryan has been trying to kamikaze himself. It's been disconcerting to watch, trying to take himself out. 'Cause as of yet, no one possesses the constitution to do it for him... It's gotta be me. It'll be a wake-up call for AEW. This is the real world, nothing lasts forever, you don't get to pick the day." [0:06 - 0:38]
Moxley went on to claim that despite not being comfortable with his capacity for viciousness in the squared circle, Danielson will be forced to tap into his dark side while defending the AEW World Title against him in the Tacoma Dome. He reiterated his resolve to win the belt once again and continued to cryptically allude to The BCC's ongoing war with the Tony Khan-led promotion and its talent.
It remains to be seen whether Jon Moxley will succeed at becoming the next All Elite Wrestling World Champion and retire Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream.
