Was there a third man in the room during Shane McMahon and Tony Khan's meeting? WWE legend reacts (Exclusive)
A WWE legend recently spoke about the secretive meeting between Tony Khan and Shane McMahon and reflected on whether Vince McMahon was present there or not. The name in question is none other than Teddy Long.
A couple of weeks ago, a shocking photograph of Shane McMahon and AEW CEO Tony Khan seemingly having a private conversation emerged on social media which took the wrestling world by storm. The fans started to make bold predictions about Shane being the next big signing of the Jacksonville-based promotion. The Prodigal Son later spoke about the meeting and revealed that he and Tony had spoken about the happenings of professional wrestling.
In a recent chat with Mac Davis on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, Teddy Long stated that he would like to see Vince McMahon get involved with Shane O'Mac if he was planning on working with Tony Khan and AEW.
"Well, I don't know. The only way I could see Vince [McMahon] getting involved and getting WWE back is that he knew for sure that he had a deal. It's really interesting of you, like to say not the third man in the room, you know what I mean, you just don't know. But I would like to see something like this happen just to do the right thing." Bill Apter claims that Shane McMahon will not listen to his father
In the same episode, however, Senior Editor Bill Apter spoke about the differences between Vince and Shane McMahon. He recalled Shane not being in WWE while Vince McMahon was in charge which is why he was likely to follow his own path, instead of his father's.
"Shane McMahon is his own McMahon. He does not follow the direction of his father which is one of the main reasons that he's no longer in WWE even when his father was there." [7:31 - 7:56]
Shane O'Mac was last seen in the WWE at WrestleMania 39. It will be interesting to see if he shockingly appears in AEW at All In.
