Last year, Will Ospreay turned a lot of heads when he announced he was signing with AEW. After finishing up his remaining dates with New Japan, Ospreay arrived in Tony Khan's promotion in February 2024 and has since looked unstoppable After a string of amazing performances, Ospreay challenged Roderick Strong for the International Championship at AEW Double or Nothing. After an amazing match against Strong, The Aerial Assassin captured the title.

During the same pay-per-view, another title changed hands as Mercedes Mone captured the TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale in her in-ring debut for the promotion. Following their respective wins, Will Ospreay was spotted doing the CEO dance with Mone.

"C E Ospreay. Honestly it’s the sickest dance to do!! New champs just feeling themselves," Will Ospreay wrote.

Mercedes Mone fired a shot at WWE after AEW Double or Nothing

Mercedes Mone finally stepped into the ring for the first time since making her AEW debut. She competed against Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship. Both women gave it their all but it was The CEO who ended up winning the match.

During the post-show media scrum, Mone took a slight dig at WWE by claiming that AEW is the best place to wrestle:

"What was going to happen after leaving WWE? What was going to be next for me? Because a lot of time in wrestling people think that WWE is the only place, and I think tonight we showed the wrestling world that it’s not the only place. AEW is where the best wrestle, and we had the greatest show tonight celebrating five years of this incredible company." [From 0:04 to 0:29]

It will be interesting to see who will be first in line to challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship.
