Watch: Orange Cassidy left astonished after finding out a legend has been in wrestling for 51 years [Exclusive]

AEW is home to many rising wrestling stars, including some who have really made their name in the company, such as Orange Cassidy. The peculiar fan favorite has worked with several legends during his career. However, the 40-year-old was recently left surprised when he learned about the lengthy career of a legendary journalist.

Freshly Squeezed was born in 1984, and he grew up a wrestling fan. Cassidy has previously said he never looked up to one specific star but saw the iconic wrestlers as the ones one could dress up as at Halloween. Despite criticism over his gimmick, Cassidy is adamant about respecting the old school, which created fans and workers like the legendary Bill Apter.

Still wearing many hats in the industry, such as Senior Editor of Sportskeeda Wrestling, the 79-year-old NYC native also grew up as a fan. He began his career in the sport as a writer in January 1970.

Cassidy and Apter recently came together for SK's WrestleBinge on YouTube. The two-time AEW International Champion asked about Apter's history in the business and seemed to be a bit surprised as well as impressed when Bill revealed he's worked in the industry for 51 years and has been a fan going back to the 1960s.

Cassidy also asked about the launch of AEW.

"That's incredible! You have seen professional wrestling through so many different decades and generations, and you have seen the progression of professional wrestling. You've seen how it's evolved, and when AEW came about, you were probably excited because this is when the good times are, right? When there's competition," Orange Cassidy said. [From 0:40 to 1:07]

Apter agreed that competition does make things better.

"Oh, absolutely. It makes everybody better when there's competition. Definitely!" Bill Apter said. [From 1:08 to 1:14]

Cassidy may have a future as an interviewer, as he previously pitched a "great question" to the 2011 NWA Hall of Famer. Apter gave an interesting response in which he recalled watching many wrestling greats and WWE Hall of Famers.
