[Watch] "Thank you" chants break out as WWE Hall of Famer gets a standing ovation on AEW Dynamite

A WWE Hall of Famer received a standing ovation from the fans on AEW Dynamite this week. The star in question is Jeff Jarrett.

On AEW Dynamite's Beach Break special edition, Jeff took on a wild card opponent in the Owen Hart Foundation 2024 Men's Tournament Quarter Finals. His opponent turned out to be the returning Hangman Adam Page.

The two stars put on quite a match but Hangman emerged victorious from the bout and advanced to the next level in the tournament. As Double J was leaving the ring, fans gave him a standing ovation. They also chanted his name and thanked him for putting on a splendid performance.


AEW star Jeff Jarrett details his meeting with Jerry Lawler

Jerry Lawler is a big name in the wrestling industry. He is 74 years old and has been facing health issues for a few years now. In a recent interview with Bill Apter, Jeff Jarrett revealed that he recently met Lawler during an NBA game. He said:

"Two months ago....three months ago....it was this basketball season. Me and Satnam Singh did a Memphis Grizzly appearance with NBA basketball and of course, Grand City Wrestling and Dustin and just the Grizz family....actually, the mascot Grizz. I'm a huge fan of him but we came down me and Satnam did an appearance and I got to see King. He was there."

He continued:

"Dave Brown, Billy, it was great seeing him, talking to him, you know, but at the game, we're right beside each other and the guy who kinda hushed me and said 'hey, just to let you know Jerry Lawler is right next door. Not sure if you know him or not' They were being very polite but I said 'Who? The King is right next door'...Anyway...I got to go down and sit and chat with him."

The 56-year-old AEW star added that he and Jerry Lawler talked about a lot of things like their families and sports.
