WCW legend is ecstatic after reuniting with his "Best Friend" Sting in AEW
A WCW legend recently took to social media to share his feelings of ecstasy after reuniting with his long-term friend Sting in AEW.
The legend in question is Ric Flair, who holds the record of most world championship reigns alongside John Cena in pro wrestling. On the October 18 edition of Dynamite, Sting announced that he would wrestle his last match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view next year. Later that night, Tony Khan promised a gift to The Stinger.
On the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite, Ric Flair's AEW debut was revealed as the special gift for Sting promised by Khan. The WWE Hall of Famer entered the ring and hugged his long-time friends, The Icon and Tony Schiavone. The WCW legends shared a special moment and praised each other.
Revisiting their history together, The Nature Boy called Sting one of the best wrestlers in the business and the 'nicest' person in pro wrestling and announced that he wanted to be a part of The Icon's journey to retirement. Flair recently took to social media to talk about his return to TBS Network after 20 years and reuniting with his former WCW rival.
"What An Amazing Feeling It Is To Be Back On @TBSNetwork. After All Those Years. I’m So Happy To Be Reunited With My Best Friend @Sting! WOOOOO! @AEW," wrote Flair.
Ric Flair slammed by Dutch Mantell for insulting fans after his AEW Debut
Ric Flair is considered one of the greatest to lace up a pair of wrestling boots. The WWE Hall of Famer has had a well-accomplished career and is called the dirtiest player in the game due to his polarising character.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell had some harsh words for the 16-time world champion due to the way he insulted fans.
"Flair, you can't believe a word he says. When he opens his mouth, it's basically a lie. He accents everything, adds to it and at the end, it all makes Ric look like such a glorious guy and such a great worker. He pi*sed me off when he told fans that they were big fat bast*rds who would believe anything. You don't talk about your fans like that. That's why he didn't have to get out and get a job," Mantell said. [From 09:31 to 10:03]
