"We'll beat his a** up" - Top AEW duo ready to step up to Jon Moxley; issue massive warning
AEW Tag Team Private Party has sent a warning to World Champion Jon Moxley. They are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Since Jon Moxley's recent AEW return, he has been causing havoc in the promotion. Moxley has formed The Death Riders faction that includes Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir. The faction has been beating down talent in the promotion in an attempt to hold the company hostage. Last month at the WrestleDream PPV, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to win the AEW World Championship.
In a recent chat on The Battleground podcast, Private Party (Zay and Quen) said that Jon Moxley has good intentions about All Elite Wrestling but his tactics for fixing the company are controversial.
"I feel like Moxley has good intentions, but it’s just the way he’s going about it. Everybody loves AEW. I know Moxley definitely loves AEW. We want the best for AEW ultimately, but it’s just the way he goes about it. We don’t agree with what he’s doing to accomplish that goal, and I kind of compare it to the Civil War, with Avengers, Iron Man and Captain America, they both had ideas to make the world better, both had their own views on it. It’s just the way, how they went about it."
The duo further threatened Jon Moxley and said that they would beat him up if he tried to attack them:
"They all want the best, but that’s just the way how they want to go about it. I think that’s what we’re dealing with now, the friction between AEW and the Death Riders. We all want the best for AEW, but it’s just the way we go about it, and I don’t agree, and I’m pretty sure a lot of people agree with me, I don’t agree with what Moxley and his crew are doing to reach that goal. If Moxley brings his ass over here again, we’ll beat his a** up.” [H/T: PWMania]
Jon Moxley shares his vision for AEW
The Death Rider aims to fix All Elite Wrestling and has chosen a questionable path to take the promotion to greater heights. In a recent interview with CBS Sports, Moxley blamed the past issues of All Elite Wrestling on the talent who refused to take responsibility. He further shared his vision for the Jacksonville-based promotion.
"I had a vision. A vision of a future. A vision that could be ours. That it could belong to everybody. A vision of a world where everyone can be successful [...] One thing I found challenging in the previous iteration of AEW was, I found it challenging to find anyone who would take responsibility for anything. 'It's not my fault' was a thing that would be heard bouncing around the hallways of AEW quite ubiquitously," he said. [H/T - Fightful]
It will be interesting to see if Jon Moxley walks out of the Full Gear PPV still the AEW World Champion. He will be defending his title against Orange Cassidy at the event.
