“We should’ve asked for more money” - The Young Bucks make a surprising claim

The Young Bucks posted a surprising yet hilarious claim on social media as a massive AEW report emerged. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson recently re-signed with the Jacksonville-based company.

The reigning AEW World Tag Team Championships have been misusing their powers as EVPs for the last few months. Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry have been dominating the roster, as they all hold championships in the company.

The Young Bucks are known for changing their Twitter bios whenever a major update or report regarding them or AEW surfaces. Recently, an update about the promotion's TV deal with WBD emerged. Reports suggest that AEW would be tied with the network for four years. The deal could be worth around $170 million per year.

As the EVPs had recently re-signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion, they jokingly claimed they should have asked for more money. The brothers hinting at their contract negotiations on social media is surprising.

"Dang, we should've asked for more money," they wrote.

MJF claims the Young Bucks deserve respect

The Salt of the Earth is one of the best homegrown AEW stars. Since 2019, he has won multiple championships in the company and recently praised the EVPs.

While speaking on WrestleTalk, the former American Champion said that new signings and fans should respect the duo. He said the promotion wouldn't exist without the current AEW World Tag Team Champions.

“They are innovators. The company does not exist without them. None of that happens without Matt and Nick Jackson. If new people come into my company, they should be showing them that respect that they earned and deserved. I feel the fans should be showing them that respect they earned and deserve," he said.

The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada recently lost to Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita in a six-man tag team match on the latest episode of Dynamite.
