“We are the only tag team certified by the Hitman” - AEW star has a message for Bret Hart
AEW is a goldmine for tag team action, and The Acclaimed is one of the company's star attractions. Formed in October 2020, this stable consists of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens. Furthermore, the stable is managed by veteran wrestler Billy Gunn, who also wrestles with the duo in six-man tag matches.
Recently, one-half of The Acclaimed, Max Caster shared an update on Twitter (X), where he wished the legendary Bret Hart on the latter's 67th birthday. Hart is best known for his stint in the WWE and WCW during the 1990s and early 2000s. Furthermore, his wrestling gear was predominantly pink and black, a color scheme also used by The Acclaimed.
In his post, Max Caster thanked Bret Hart for ''passing down the (above-mentioned) colors'' to The Acclaimed. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion also claimed that The Acclaimed was the only tag team certified by The Hitman.
"Happy birthday, @BretHart. Thank you for passing down the colors pink and black to The Acclaimed. We are the only tag team certified by the Hit Man," he wrote.
Max Caster once tried to bring a retired WWE wrestler to AEW
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Max Caster shockingly revealed that he once attempted to bring the 53-year-old American wrestler Chuck Palumbo to AEW. Palumbo is best known for performing in WWE and WCW. Caster said,
"We've tried. He's a busy guy in his own life and I finally just met him at an autograph signing a couple of weeks ago and he was [a] nice guy, amazing guy, he's like, 'You worked with Billy? I worked with Billy."
During his stint in WWE, Palumbo and The Acclaimed's manager, Billy Gunn, were a part of a tag team called Billy and Chuck. Furthermore, the duo held the WWF/E Tag Team Championship twice. Reports suggest that Palumbo retired in 2012.
