"Welcome to the Hurt Syndicate" - Fans believe absent AEW star will join MVP's faction

AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2024 featured a variety of bouts, with some of them being title matches. Interestingly, it had a segment where Swerve Strickland's manager, Prince Nana, provided an update on the former World Champion.

During the above-mentioned segment, former WWE star MVP made his anticipated AEW debut. He delivered a powerful promo, where he criticized Nana and stated that the 45-year-old was not good enough to be Strickland's manager. It has not been revealed when the former WWE United States Champion will reappear in the promotion, however, some fans believe that he will ally with former TNT Champion, Powerhouse Hobbs, in the future.

Hobbs recently tweeted a post that said "Will Hobbs". This is a shorter version of his real name, William Hobson. He did not mention anything related to MVP or The Hurt Business/Syndicate but fans are speculating that he will join the faction if they arrive on All Elite Wrestling.

Hobbs has been absent from AEW programming for a while, with his last match coming on April 24, 2024, in a match against Jon Moxley. The star is currently sidelined due to injury.

Powerhouse Hobbs believes that AEW and WWE are on the same level

In a 2023 interview with Lori Fetrick, a.k.a Ice Ice Baby on the Chillin with Ice YouTube channel, Powerhouse Hobbs stated that All Elite Wrestling is on the same level as WWE. Furthermore, he said that the Tony Khan-led company has the firepower to compete with the Stamford-based company.

"We're on the same level as them. We're their competitors. They're on national TV, and we're on national TV. We go head-to-head. We're right on them. We've beaten them in ratings at times. We're right there on their neck. There are two major companies in this business, and it's WWE and AEW. We're right there with them," said Hobbs. [H/T Fightful]

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Hobbs and whether he will become a part of a faction involving MVP.
