What's next for Toni Storm's "Timeless" persona after Mariah May's betrayal? Veteran shares a fascinating possibility

Ever since its introduction, AEW star Toni Storm's "Timeless" gimmick has been the talk of the town. It has drawn attention and praise from fans and people who have been associated with the business for decades.

Back in November of last year, as a part of Storm's gimmick, Mariah May began portraying herself as the former's prodigy. Unsurprisingly, the duo's popularity only saw an upward trajectory. Moreover, Storm was the AEW Women's World Champion, so she and May were a force to be reckoned with.

During the latest episode of Dynamite, May attacked Storm after winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, turning heel in the process. The two women are scheduled to battle at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View, with the AEW Women's World Championship on the line.

Interestingly, on the Busted Open Radio podcast, host Dave LaGreca and ECW legend Tommy Dreamer discussed the possibility of Toni Storm ditching her "Timeless" gimmick to be taken more seriously during the build-up to her match at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View. Furthermore, the former WWE Superstar pitched a fascinating idea of how the 28-year-old star can go about it.

"I push the black and white away with my hand. Or I split my screen where I have Luther in black and white and I step out of it. And be like now I'm talking to you, Mariah May. What you did to me? bla bla bla. She can step back into that character. But its revealing yourself," Tommy Dreamer said. [8:27 - 8:54]

What plans does Tony Khan have in store for Toni Storm remains to be seen.

Tommy Dreamer did not expect AEW star Mariah May to turn against "Timeless" Toni Storm

During the same conversation, Tommy Dreamer revealed that he expected "Timeless" Toni Storm to turn heel instead of Mariah May. This is because May belongs to the "town where Wembley is."

"Why did she turn (Mariah May) and not Toni? Because if there's anybody who realizes how good Mariah is would be Tony, and she's the vulnerable one. And then Mariah is from the town where Wembley is, they said it. And then when they said that, I was like, 'So they're gonna go with the hometown favorite as the bad girl?' Which was just interesting to me," Tommy Dreamer said. [11:50 - 12:30]
