What Shahid Khan really thinks about AEW reportedly revealed
Tony Khan revealed what his father Shahid Khan thinks about AEW. Shahid is the owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.
Tony Khan was attacked by The Elite on the Dynamite following Dynasty Pay-Per-View. After Jack Perry was reinstated by the latter, Perry and EVPs shockingly attacked TK. Following the attack, Shahid Khan and most of the locker came out to check on the promotion's President.
Shahid was utterly shocked after The Elite attacked his son and the latter's face went viral. Later, Tony was seen wearing a neckbrace at the NFL draft to sell the effects of The Meltzer Driver.
While speaking in an interview with Bleacher Report, Tony said people were sending Shahid's memes to him. He also revealed his father liked the All Elite product and he occasionally watches it.
"He thought it was fantastic. People were sending it to him. He knew it was going to get attention. He knows AEW is a big deal, and he follows the show and the product. He's not a hardcore wrestling fan, but he watches AEW." he said. [H/T: Bleacher Report]
Tony Khan reflects on the attack by The Elite in AEW
The AEW President was viciously ambushed the last time he entered the ring with The Elite.
When asked by Bleacher Report about returning to the squared circle, Tony said that he doesn't recommend taking a piledriver or receiving "that kind of beating."
"I don't think anybody in pro wrestling wants to be spike piledrived ever. It's one of the most dangerous, deadly moves in pro wrestling. It's banned in multiple pro wrestling promotions and it's illegal in several states, and there's a reason. I don't recommend it to anybody nor would I ever be eager to take another spike piledriver again. Only the most trained professional wrestlers can sustain that kind of beating, especially multiple times," Tony said.
It will be interesting to see when and if will Shahid Khan return to his son's promotion.
