"Where have we seen that before?" - Wrestling fans believe WWE just ripped off a major AEW concept
Later today, WWE will present Crown Jewel from Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will feature seven matches in total.
This is the sixth edition of Crown Jewel, and this time around it will have matches for the Crown Jewel Championship and the Women's Crown Jewel Championship. The inaugural champions of these two titles will be decided in the upcoming event. Recently the company's Chief Content Officer, Triple H announced that the winners of these titles will receive a “massive Super Bowl-like” ring.
Interestingly, AEW fans believe that this concept is copied directly from the Tony Khan-led company. In 2019, All Elite Wrestling introduced the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale. The winner of this match was awarded the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Four such matches have taken place so far and all of them have been won by the 'Salt of the Earth' MJF.
This is how AEW fans reacted to Triple H's announcement for Crown Jewel.
