Will Ospreay makes agreement with longtime rival ahead of blockbuster match

Will Ospreay has a lot on his plate at the moment. His longtime friend, Kyle Fletcher, has become his enemy and is running wild in AEW. He's also being pulled into the chaos surrounding Jon Moxley's Death Riders. On top of all that, The Aerial Assassin is fighting his way to the top in the Continental Classic tournament.

Ospreay's old rival, Ricochet, is right alongside him. The two are currently tied with Claudio Castagnoli at six points apiece in the C2's Gold League, and it's anybody's game at the moment. Will Ospreay recently took to X/Twitter to comment on his progress in the tournament, noting that his next opponents are Darby Allin on Dynamite and Ricochet himself on this week's Collision

Ricochet took notice and offered a promise ahead of their match. The One and Only stated that Ospreay would not get three points from him:

"Love you, Bruv. But you're not getting 3 off my back. See you in New York," Ricochet wrote.

The last singles match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet ended in a no-contest, and both men seemed eager to put the other away once and for all. With that in mind, The Aerial Assassin offered his rival a deal:

"Gentlemen’s agreement. If there is one minute before the time elapses. You & me stand in the middle of the ring and throw bombs till one of us drops. Holloway style. Stand & Bang. I ain’t drawing with you again. #AEWCollision," Ospreay responded.

Claudio Castagnoli addresses his recent loss to Will Ospreay

While the Continental Classic's Blue League is currently being dominated by Kyle Fletcher, the Gold League is wide open. The Death Riders' Claudio Castagnoli took an early lead in the bracket, but he suffered his first defeat against Will Ospreay on last week's episode of Dynamite.

Moxley's enforcer addressed the loss afterward and showed his respect for The Aerial Assassin. However, he confirmed that he's keeping his eye on the prize:

"I'm not happy that I lost to Will Ospreay, but I am also not losing sight of the bigger picture. See, Will Ospreay, I have a lot of respect for you; you are a tremendous warrior. I used to be a warrior once. You know what the difference is between a warrior and what I am now. See, a warrior, he loves the battle, he lives for a fight, and he loves it. I just know it's an act to be accomplished, and yet today, I failed," he said.

Ospreay has two very difficult matches ahead of him, and he'll likely need to win them both if he wants to make it to the tournament finals at AEW Worlds End. It remains to be seen if The Aerial Assassin can claim victory in the C2 amid all the chaos unfolding around him.
