Wrestling legend believes Mercedes Mone's rumored upcoming clash is the "biggest money match" of the AEW Women's Division

Wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer has reckoned that the probable upcoming clash between Mercedes Mone and Dr. Britt Baker is the "biggest money match" of the AEW Women's Division. Britt Baker made her much-anticipated return to the company at the recent AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door PPV.

The former AEW Women's World Champion teased a showdown with the erstwhile Sasha Banka as she interrupted Mercedes Mone's victory celebration and had an intense staredown.

This week on Dynamite, Britt Baker addressed fans for the first time since making her return. She spoke about her time away from the ring and even addressed the reigning AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion. This resulted in Mercedes Mone confronting the 33-year-old. After a verbal exchange, it looked like the two women were headed for a match at All In 2024.

During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer shared his excitement over the potential match. The Hardcore legend even called it the "biggest money match" in the AEW Women's Division. The former ECW star also explained how Tony Khan's promotion could build this match by using Baker's mic skills.

“Putting these two women [Mercedes Mone and Britt Baker] together is the biggest money match for the AEW Women’s Division you could possibly have right now. And it’s an easy layup how you go about it—honestly, war of the words. Britt Baker can talk. The woman is a great wrestler, but she can talk. She can get the people behind her, just like she’s willed the people to hate her. And Mercedes will have to listen to what she says. Because Britt can go on that microphone,” he said. Dreamer also explained how he loved the way Britt Baker gave a little teaser promo after Forbidden Door, which created anticipation for Dynamite.

“The beauty of using social media [came] after they had Lexi [Nair] come up to Britt Baker, and she said, ‘You know what? A lot of people want to know. I’m going to save it for Dynamite!’ A great little teaser to tell you to tune in, because I know I’m tuning in,” he added. [H/T: Ringside News]

Mercedes Mone breaks silence after being booed during her match at Forbidden Door

At Forbidden Door, Mercedes Mone locked horns with Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match. During the match, the crowd was heavily behind Vaquer, and they booed Mone's every move. Despite this, the former WWE star emerged victorious and became a double champion.

The CEO spoke about the crowd's reaction in the All Elite Krew Newsletter. The 32-year-old stated she would let fans paint her as a bad woman as she loved New York.

“I won't lie, when the chants started, it had me giggling with silly sillies! Don't you know it's me who puts the Boss in Boston? I love New York, though, so I'll let y'all paint me in the villain era—that's one thing I love about wrestling: the fans are quick to turn on you, and yet somehow that energy always ends up hyping me up more, so please carry on; I do enjoy it!” she said.

It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan books a match between Mercedes Mone and Britt Baker for All In 2024.
