Wrestling star publicly calls for Tony Khan to sign him to AEW - "You're a guy that's never left money on the table"

A professional wrestler made a public call asking Tony Khan to hire him in AEW. This star has previously wrestled for the Jacksonville-based promotion on a few occasions.

Ben Bishop is a rising star in the independent scene. He has already wrestled for several promotions like WCPW, ACW, JCW, and even AEW. He started his pro wrestling career in 2020 and since then, he has already put on several impressive performances. Bishop has also won several titles during his time on the circuit.

He won his first title shortly after starting out in the business by winning the ACW Tag Team Championship along with Michael's Amaydo. Together, they held the titles for an impressive 596 days. Following this mammoth reign, Ben Bishop went on to win the Heavyweight Championship with the promotion, a title he held for 336 days. It now looks like he has much bigger ambitions.

During a recent appearance on the Reel Appreciation podcast with David Clair-Bennett, Bishop urged Tony Khan to sign him to All Elite Wrestling stating that the company would be missing out on the opportunity to make big money if they overlooked a total package like him.

"Tony Khan, you're a businessman. You're a guy that's never left money on the table. So don't do it now. Don't leave that giant sack of glistening dollar bills sitting on that table because you're looking at the guy who can come in and who can actually change the game in AEW, 'Big Trouble' Ben Bishop, the guy who stands at 6'2 and weighs 15% of a metric ton. Earthquakin', pillow-shaking, meat-popping, jaw-dropping. You name it, I'm the one that they come to see. I'm the guy made for TV, and ain't nothing else, but just putting my name on that piece of paper. Let's make it happen. Tony, get ready to get ready because eventually, here comes trouble," he said. When was Ben Bishop's last match in AEW?

Among all the promotions Ben Bishop has competed for, All Elite Wrestling is the best known. He first made an appearance for the company on an episode of AEW Dark on July 6, 2021. He competed in a match against Bear Bronson and wound up on the losing end.

He made another appearance a few months later on the February 5, 2022, episode of AEW Dark where he faced Ten (now known as Preston Vance) in yet another losing effort. His final match for the promotion came earlier this year when he faced and lost to Roderick Strong on the July 6, 2024, episode of Rampage.

It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan answers Ben Bishop's call and signs him to All Elite Wrestling in the future.
